Navigating the Product Category Tree
The GeM portal organizes items into a structured tree:
- Level 1 Category: Broad sectors (e.g. Office Equipment).
- Level 2 Category: Standard groups (e.g. Computers & Peripherals).
- Level 3 Category: Specific items (e.g. Entry Level Desktop Computers).
Searching by Category
- Use the Category input field on the search dashboard.
- Start typing your product category name and select the matching dropdown suggestion.
- This ensures you see all tenders targeting that specific category, regardless of different keyword combinations.
